Attualmente, a mio avviso, facilmente vengono confuse le reali possibilità di lavoro con quelle potenziali, in quanto bisogna tener cdiplomaticionto, purtroppo, della “crisi” che ha colpito tutti e che tende a ridurre drasticamente le possibilità reali di lavoro, annullando totalmente quelle potenziali! Oggi bisogna cercare di acquisire una buona formazione in diversi settori, ed è proprio quello che permette la Facoltà di Scienze Politiche, dal campo politico a quello economico, dal giuridico all’amministrativo, dal sociologico a quello storico. Ora, analizzando nel concreto, i settori che sono sicuramente accessibili con la laurea in Scienze Politiche sono: Amministrazione pubblica, imprese e organizzazioni private, volontariato, servizi di relazioni con l’esterno e uffici stampa, organizzazioni internazionali, banche, commercio internazionale, assistente sociale, forze armate, credito e assicurazioni, istruzione e ricerca. Ci sono indirizzi internet utili per informarsi come: www.almalaurea.it o www.concorsipubblici.com. Attualmente ci sono concorsi per accedere come dirigente in polizia municipale; oppure c’è un concorso per dirigente amministrativo presso azienda sanitaria provinciale ASL e tanti altri. Riguardo i Master, visitando il sito della Facoltà di Scienze Politiche dell’Università di Macerata www. Unimc.it/didattica/facolta/politiche , cliccando sull’offerta didattica, noterete delle possibilità molto interessanti come Master di 1° e 2° livello, corsi di perfezionamento, corsi di eccellenza e altri ancora. Avendo fatto una ricerca generale, ci sono Master in Diplomazia e Politica internazionale; Diritti umani e intervento umanitario; Politiche e gestione nella sanità, Europa- America Latina; Relazioni internazionali Europa- America Latina e tanti altri. Un consiglio che posso darvi e che do a me stessa, è di non escludere nessun tipo di possibilità e di impegnarvi al massimo, perché l’impegno vi verrà ripagato!!! Infine se avete altre informazioni riguardo le possibilità di lavoro, concorsi o master scrivetele, più c’è informazione meglio è per noi studenti!!!

Per molti, a parità di “valore” tra due facoltà, a far pendere l’ago della bilancia da una parte o dall’altra è spesso il fattore “città”: meglio una medio-grande o una di piccole dimensioni? Avendo avuto l’opportunità di dividere la mia carriera universitaria tra due luoghi e due Atenei molto diversi tra loro, Bologna e Macerata, vorrei proporre qualche spunto di riflessione per chi si trova a dover affrontare tale dilemma. E’ scontato affermare che sono tantissime le variabili da prendere in considerazione e altrettanti sono i pro e i contra di entrambe le opzioni: tra queste una questione importantissima è sicuramente quella economica, poiché in linea di massima frequentare Atenei in grandi città comporta spese maggiori, dalle tasse all’affitto di un posto letto. Superato questo scoglio, è da considerare l’offerta dal punto di vista delle iniziative culturali e sociali extra – accademiche,come convegni, incontri, seminari e, perché no, feste e attività connesse alla vita studentesca. E’ innegabile che città come Roma, Milano o Bologna diano moltissimo sotto questo punto di vista, vuoi perché gli Atenei hanno spesso maggiori risorse (umane e monetarie), vuoi perché le città stesse offrono più numerose occasioni culturali e di svago . Mi sento di dire che il nostro Ateneo offre significative opportunità a riguardo…il più delle volte si tratta di avere la voglia di tenersi informati e di partecipare. A mio avviso è poi da tenere in conto la possibilità di partecipare ai bandi per esperienze internazionali (Erasmus, Erasmus Placement, Progetto NMUN) o per borse di studio in genere; è ovvio che nel grande Ateneo l’accesso sia un po’ più difficoltoso, dato il maggior numero di richieste e di utenti: il fatto, ad esempio, che il bando Erasmus venga riaperto una seconda volta nell’arco dell’anno accademico sarebbe impensabile in Università in cui le borse sono di molto inferiori al numero dei candidati. E’ un punto questo che è da considerare con attenzione, data la sempre maggiore importanza che questo genere di esperienze “abroad” stanno avendo sia per il futuro ingresso nel mondo del lavoro che per la crescita personale di noi giovani. Sono, poi, da considerare i servizi offerti agli studenti, il funzionamento più o meno efficiente di uffici e segreterie, la disponibilità e le relazioni con i docenti. Su quest’ultimo punto posso assicurare che fare lezioni con centinaia di altri studenti è molto diverso dal trovarsi con poche altre decine di colleghi, situazione in cui instaurare un rapporto e un confronto più costruttivo, ricco e stimolante con chi è dall’altra parte della cattedra diventa molto più semplice. Indipendentemente da quale sarà la scelta finale e da dove vi porteranno le vostre scelte, è fondamentale lasciare da parte i preconcetti e  prendere il più possibile da ciò che ci viene offerto, così da rendere l’esperienza accademica momento di crescita unico e irripetibile, che vada al di là di una collezione di voti su un libretto.

Sono finiti gli esami….non ci sono lezioni…non ho nulla da studiare….. devo per forza accontentarmi di stare in spiaggia ad annoiarmi, prendere il sole, fare il bagno….che stress!!! Mi mancheranno tanto i Professori….. ma più di tutti mi mancherà Macerata!!!!!!!Voi dove andate ad annoiarvi? Io vado a S.Benedetto del Tronto… voglio restare assolutamente vicina a Macerata..non reggo la lontananza!!! Mi hanno detto che lì a S. Benedetto organizzano sagre, feste, concerti….deve essere proprio pesante come situazione… era molto meglio svegliarsi alle 7.00 per studiare fino a sera…. Saltare il pranzo per andare a lezione… saltare le cene con gli amici per andare a letto presto! Beh come si suol dire la vita è fatta di sacrifici… e facciamoli allora!!! Attendo i vostri racconti e nel frattempo preparo a malincuore la valigia….!!!

For me, Macerata is a nice and peaceful city, I enjoy my daily life here. It is summer now, and while I’m having my internship in a local company, in my country the most popular topic is the World Expo/2010..

The 2010 China World Expo, which is holding at Shanghai, will last for 6 months. It inaugurated at the 1st of May, and will be closed at the 31st of October. 170 countries and international organizations have been confirmed to attend the China Expo.

Each country or international organization has its own traditional styled and designed exhibition hall. It may be traditional combined with modern design, or it may be very special to catch people’s eyes.

I would like to make a short introduction for the Italian exhibition hall. The theme of the Italian exhibition hall is the city of human, it is a multi-purpose hall, easy to re-structure and reuse, it is an environment friendly hall. This hall has 3600 square meters and designed by the Italian design group Giampaolo Imbrighi.

This exhibition hall is not only famous by its high technological environment friendly system designs, but also famous because of the luxuries brands such as Armani, D&G, Versace and Prada. The fashion show will be shown in the Italian exhibition hall. The Italian participation at the Expo will focus on the role of Made in Italy goods to improve the quality of life in big cities through technological innovations, artistic and cultural heritage.Of course the Italian food will not be forgotten. Chinese people are lucky to taste the best and traditional Italian food without step out of country. Other “Made in Italy” are Italian cars, technology of architecture, tourism, music and symphony orchestra.

During the last 45 days, the China World Expo has been met and welcomed for more than 13 million visitors. Every country’s exhibition hall is beautiful and unforgettable. People who are interested about this World Expo could travel to Shanghai and join the World Expo, while you may also enjoy the traditional Shanghai culture and food and have a lot of shopping

I am the member of the ongoing 2009-2010 master program “Relations with Eastern Countries”, the Eighth annual edition Master program organized by the Faculty of Political Science of the prestigious University of Macerata.

With great pleasure, I am very delighted to be granted such a precious occasion which allows me to share my living and study experiences with everyone through our faculty blog, in particular with those prospective students who wish to pursue their postgraduate studies in this city.

First of all, I would like to give you some clue about this program. As you may well note from our website, this annual Master is a tailor-made program for those who aspire to dedicate their career in bilateral trade ties and business cooperation between Italy and the three most important oriental countries in the world, including Russia, India and China. It is a program jointly launched by the time-honored University of Macerata with financial support from local public agencies such as Confindustria Macerata and Chamber of Commerce Macerata, two of the most significant business-related public institutes in Italy which will grant scholarship to the top-ranking applicants.

Additionally, I would like to give you a briefing with respect to the master courses. As per its scope, this master is intended to foster would-be professionals such as export manager and international trade consultant in the aforesaid field with its intense but extremely useful courses comprising international trade, international management, international law, inter alia, with wide-ranging respective sub-subjects. As a result, given its great intensity, it is highly advisable to get really highly committed to the study in that you will be supposed to have a fully-loaded three-month course consisting of a total of 40-hour weekly study program. In other words, it is a highly demanding but greatly fruitful master program as you will find out that all the courses are closely related to your future career which eventually will make all your efforts and hard-working much justifiable and worthwhile.

One more point concerning your future study in Macerata also needs emphasizing. As you might have noted through the online application, the Italian language study is also part of this master program. If you have made your decision to join us, it is strongly advisable for you to start your Italian language study in advance as local people tend to speak quite limited English. You will be much better positioned if you have a good Italian foundation to make your daily life somewhat easier.

Apart from the study per se, it is necessary to drop some lines related to the City of Macerata. Located in the Marche Region, central and eastern part of Italy, Macerata is not a big city but definitely a peaceful place with extremely gentle and kind people. Near to both the seaside and mountain area, it is an ideal tourist destination due to its natural scenery, lovely sunshine and fascinating long coastal beach area. It will definitely do you good to get yourself a breakaway from the hustle and bustle of big cities. Just go to visit them and you will be having big fun!! Oh don’t forget here we have superb local Marchigiano cuisine which is one of the best in all Italy.

In particular, some more words are intended for my would-be Chinese alumni. Macerata is the hometown of Father Matteo Ricci (in Chinese Li Ma Dou or 利马窦), who was one of the forerunners of cultural exchanges between the east and west. This year Macerata and the Chinese government jointly commemorated his 400th anniversary decease with many cultural activities. So this may be an additional reason for those Chinese students to come to study here in Macerata if you want to be part of Sino-Italian cooperation and exchanges in cultural, educational and economic field, among others.

Meanwhile, I would also like to talk something about the supporting service. ERSU, the local supporting agency and the faculty staff are so kind and they will just try their best to help you to settle down. Compared with other big Italian university cities, the daily life here in Macerata is really much less costly in terms of lodging, boarding and traffic.

Last but not least, the international presence is also a well known aspect of our program. Basically, for each edition, there are students from eight different countries. It is a great pleasure to have such an opportunity to live the intercultural interaction among us teammates and other local students, which, I strongly believe, is an added value for your future study.

All in all, I would tell you that you will get rewarded by your decision to come to study here in Macerata. So get ready, work hard, and try to have big fun at the same time. See you in Macerata soon!
